Master files are records that define the hotel, such as rooms and telephone extensions, and which influence the working procedures. They include, for example, the services offered by the hotel, payment types accepted and schedules for the night run.
It is vital to plan the set-up of master files with care and consideration prior to installing SIHOT. Ensure that they are entered correctly before starting to work with SIHOT. It is possible to make changes to the master files at a later date; however, statistics may be affected. E.g. if the set-up of the revenue accounts is revised, the revenue reports of the past may loose their significance.
