Packages/Rate Agreement

The dialog rate agreement can be called up by pressing the button packages or via the context menu packages for the reservation. The dialog allows you to define the fix services for the reservation and to define different services for different periods. This might be the case, e.g., if the guest is scheduled to move to a different room category during his stay and consequently, a different room rate will apply.

 

If the rate of a fix service is due to change automatically (e.g. from standard rate to weekend rate), there will be an exclamation-symbol  in the column rate change. At the same time, a tooltip on the columns rate change and price per unit will show details of the rate changes.

 

The column processing shows the method of charging, as per the service or package master file:

 

    - per room

    - per reservation (reservation-specific fix service)

    - per person

 

Amending the fix services will affect the reservation(s) as follows:

i If the dialog is called up from the tabs all reservations and reservation information, the amendments will apply to all guests within the reservation.

i If the dialog is called up when a particular name on the rooming list is highlighted, the amendments will apply to this guest only.

Use the Ins-key to enter additional services into the list box. Edit existing services by double clicking on the line or via the context menu edit. Delete services by pressing the Del-key. Press modify to save any changes.

 

After saving the changes, SIHOT will ask if the amended services apply to all guests. If you answer yes, the changes will come into effect for all guests on the rooming list. If you answer no, the changes affect this particular guest only.

These fix services are charged only once per reservation, as per definition in the service or package master file (field processing is set to per reservation). Distinctive features of the Reservation-specific fix services are:

    They are not taken over on the rooming list and can not be entered for individual guests within a reservation. Hence, they appear on the rate information if it is called up via the reservation- dialog, but not on individual rooms.

    They can be charged outside the reservation period, i.e. prior to arrival.

Reservation-specific fix services can be used to handle services such as airport transfers or travel insurances.

When splitting a reservation, e.g. if some of the guests in the reservation arrive at a different day or if a room move is planned, the service may or may not be automatically copied to the new reservation. This is determined in the field reservation options in the service/package master file.

The reservation-specific fix services are posted automatically to the reservation account when running the programme post packages.
