A flexrate is a package type that calculates the rate of a room by a large number of different parameters, and therefore can be used for a wide variety of purposes.
The main advantage of these rates is that they handle different rates levels during specific periods. These levels are entered by dates (periods of validity). These periods may well be overlapping. The rates can be blocked for certain periods during which they will not be available for bookings.

For example: The standard room rate (Rack Rate) is valid for the whole year from January to December. Seasonal adjustments are added as required.
