Users

During installation of SIHOT and prior to establishing any user accounts, the management must become familiar with the user rights (and user restrictions) available in SIHOT. Then a system of user groups must be determined according to which the access rights are granted. When this is in place, the individual users can be entered.

 

You can enter a new user in the list box with the key Ins, delete existing users with the key Del and amend user records with a double click on the respective line.

 

i NB: There are several functions within SIHOT where users can set the defaults for user settings individually. If you wish to make a setting available to all users of the hotel, create a user by the name of “…”. If you login under this username and change settings, these changes will apply to all users. 

 

You can enter an expiry date on which the user has to enter a new password and you can assign a different language for a user to work with.

 

You can quickly prevent users from signing into SIHOT. Highlight the user and call up the context menu. Select the command suspend login. The record in the list box will be displayed in red and the status-column will display the no go-icon . If the user tries to login, he/she will be shown a message advising of the suspension. This function can be retracted by calling up the context menu again and selecting the command release suspension.
