It is vital to store layouts in a clean, well-maintained and correct path structure. This helps to avoid difficulties in selecting the appropriate layout in the print-dialog.
Old and obsolete layouts, for example, should no longer come up in the dialog. This happens when all layouts in the template-directories are mixed-up together with the correct ones in the ALL-file. Therefore, the ALL-files must only contain the language directory and their valid layouts.
Figure 82: Incorrect path structures creating problems
Please ensure the following steps are carefully adhered to:
• The ALL-file contains only the language directories (DE, EN, FR, ES, …).
Figure 83: Correct path structure
•Figure 60 below shows that the template files Vorlagen… and the rtf-file are positioned wrongly. They should be stored in a bak-directory or a similar place (path: u:bak).
Figure 84: Wrong path structure
• The layout-directories must be subject to consistent naming. See e.g. Figure 59 – the 0030-directory should not be called _030 or 00030. You also have to follow-through on the number of zeros in a file name.
• The language-directories must not contain any sub-directories.
