This program clears your database of all obsolete data of the past. The “cut-off” date for records to be deleted in a database clearing is defined in the master files.
Statistical and revenue data are not included in the clearing!
You should carry out a data base clearing once a month at the end of the month, to avoid cluttering the system.
The following data can be cleared:
• reservations
• guest profiles
• misc. accounts
• telephone records
• city ledgers
• certain types of statistics
• allotments
• group blocks
• event reservations
• shift cash register records
• loggings
Use the registry-entries under clear data base [14568] to specify the number of days to be cleared in the individual areas. You can also specify, how many days or years the print files and invoices are to be kept (e.g. 10 years).
