User specific configuration

The layout User specific configuration handles a number of settings, mainly to be used at the Front Desk. These settings will apply only to the current user and during the current SIHOT-session.

The layout is called up by clicking Configuration  in the status bar.

If registry key [902450] is enabled, the configuration will pop-up every time a user starts SIHOT.

The layout contains the following settings:

    Online credit card terminal:

Depending on the interface, the user can select the process and/or card terminal that is to be used during this session. The EMV-terminal ID is shown only if EMV-terminals are defined under registry key [701219].

    Key card system:

Depending on the hotel’s key card system, the user can select an encoder to be used during this session.

    Duplicate screen:

In order to project a SIHOT layout to another device such as a tablet for a guest to see, a login is required on this device. Select a user that has been assigned an inventory for exactly this purpose. For further information on this function, see Front Office – Check-In.

    Document reader

In hotels using different document scanners, the user can select the device used at his/her work station.
