User rights

The user rights in SIHOT depend on the user’s access group. Therefore, each user is assigned a suitable access group. The rights of each group are usually determined and configured during the installation of SIHOT. To start with, basically all access groups are able to “do everything”. (With the exception of some layouts that are restricted to one access group only due to security reasons.) When setting up the installation, the rights of each access group are restricted according to the needs of the hotel.

Using the layout User rights (menu Administration), you can adjust and fine-tune the applied user right settings for the different access groups as required.

NOTE:
This layout can be called up only by users with the respective user right.

User rights are separated into three different areas:

1.    Layout rights

2.    Report rights

3.    BO rights (Business Objects)

In those three tabs, a star (*) indicates that the respective setting (allowed/not allowed) in this line applies to all layouts, reports and BOs and all their functions and relations. You can then add the exceptions. Usually, the setting in the *-line means that the user has the right to do everything and if there are some tasks which are not permitted, these are restricted individually. However, the *-line setting may also be a restriction for everything and selected individual rights are granted afterwards.
