The ID-no is used in many hotels for different purposes, for example:
•Tax ID numbers (TIN), such as the VAT Reg. No in UK or the NIF in Spain
•Passport or personal ID numbers
•Membership numbers
•Client numbers
When using the field for TINs, this number is automatically taken over in the invoice print dialog and can therefore be directly printed on the invoice.

If used for passports and guests’ personal IDs, this field can be included in the police report (registry key [7443] must be enabled).
This field can also be used in the manual search & merge process to search for and identify duplicate profiles.
