Housekeeping discrepancy report

The discrepancy report function shows any differences in the rooms’ statuses compared to their actual physical statuses as reported by the housekeeping staff.

The discrepancy report is called up in the menu Housekeeping.

When completed, the report can show, for example -

in which rooms the housekeeping status has not been updated.

any guests that have not been registered.

rooms that are still occupied according to SIHOT but have actually departed (walk-outs).

rooms that were checked-out but are still physically occupied.

To use this function, proceed as follows:

Ø Click Save snapshot to create report in the function pane.

SIHOT stores the data on the rooms as is at the present moment. For every snapshot taken, SIHOT stores the data again, rather than overwriting the previous data. This is required, for example, if you need to compare snapshots taken at different times to see when a guest may have left the hotel.

Ø Click Search in the function pane to call up the stored data.

SIHOT displays all rooms with the status that was stored in the snapshot.

TIP:
Reduce the volume of the displayed list as required, for example by selecting a specific snapshot-time or a particular room status and clicking Search again.

Ø Highlight a room and click Edit  next to the listbox or Select in the function pane.

SIHOT opens a dialog box to enter the following physical status and number of guests if different from the records in SIHOT. The number of luggage pieces in the room, late check-outs and comments may also be entered here.

Rooms that are not checked-out even though it is past check-out time (as per registry key [5875]), are flagged accordingly in the column Late departures.

All rooms that were found to be different and were edited accordingly can be called up by enabling the toggle key Only amended data.
