The yield group request is a tool to support the decision making process in the group business. The calculations show immediately whether a group should be accepted and at what rates.
The dialog can be called up via context menu on the reservation dialog or via menu Master Files - Yield-Management.
To calculate if a group can be accepted, enter the following group data:
• period of stay
• number of rooms requested
• number of guests
• market segment
• rate
• optional: book-out rate
The cost per book-out rate is the rate to be paid if other reservations have to be booked out to another hotel because of this group.
Based on these parameters, SIHOT calculates the following figures:
•loose rate:
This is the lowest rate that can be accepted for the group without occurring a loss. The last three figures in this column provide a summary of the lowest, the average and the highest loose rate.
•profit/loss:
The profit is calculated with the figures rate and number of rooms. The last number in this column shows the overall profit or loss if the group is accepted.
Also helping the decision-making process are the columns:
•rooms incl. overbooking:
total number of available rooms
•FC (OTB) # rooms:
number of rooms sold already
•FC (Yield) # rooms:
predicted number of rooms sold according to yield forecast
•FC (OTB) Rev PAR:
Revenue per available room according to current booking status
•FC (Yield) Rev PAR:
Revenue per available room according to yield forecast
•FC (OTB) rooms-rev:
Expected room revenue according to current booking status
•FC (Yield) rooms-rev:
Expected room revenue according to yield forecast
