The number of rooms in this list box constitutes the entire scope of the allotment. After entering the number of tentative rooms included in this scope, the definitive amount is calculated automatically (by subtracting the tentative rooms from the scope of the allotment).
Tentative rooms that are still available in the allotment will show under rooms available in the overall occupancy of the property. This is not like the definite rooms in the allotment, which are counted as “tentative” in the properties’ overall occupancy. Activate registry keys [8683] and [8684] to count the scope of definitive rooms as “definitive”.
The properties’ available rooms calculated as follows: total number of rooms minus scope of allotment plus available tentative rooms.
Figure 5: Scope of allotment, definitive and tentative rooms
è EXAMPLE: There are 20 double rooms in total at the hotel. An allotment has a scope of 10 rooms, including 4 tentative and overbooking allotments is permitted. The table below shows how the availability for the property in general and within the allotment changes if nil, five, seven or twelve rooms are reserved from the allotment.
