The SIHOT.Bed Reservation module was designed to provide special functions for youth hostels, which often sell beds rather than rooms. Very often, properties must handle room and bed reservations at the same time, with a target market mix of school classes, families, backpackers etc.
To optimise occupancy, guests must be allocated to the individual beds as efficiently as possible. In SIHOT, bed reservations are created to facilitate this. Also, the guest type definitions ensure that male and female guests are allocated separate rooms, whilst accompanying persons require individual rooms.
In addition, the functions in this module can be used for the handling of roll-away beds, baby cots and garage parking spaces. The advantages include:
