Set-Up

The meal plan summary distinguishes the following meal plan types:

    breakfast

    lunch (midday meals)

    dinner (evening meals)

    tea/coffee breaks 1-3

    full board

Furthermore, the following meal plan types may be set-up as required:

    special lunch 1-4

    special dinner 1-4

    all-inclusive

These additional columns may be renamed to better suit the individual hotel’s operation. For example, the special lunch 1 can be changed to “lunch box” and special dinner 1 can be referred to as “BBQ Dinner Buffet”. Please refer to your System Administrator or SIHOT Support for these changes.

i NB: The number of “special meals” will be shown in their respective columns, but will also add to the total of the main meal type’s column. See “Display Options”.

The services booked as part of a package and/or fix services must be assigned to a meal plan type in order to be shown in the meal plan summary. This is done with the field meal plan in the service master file.

If the service is assigned a booking rhythm under housekeeping frequency, this will be taken into consideration accordingly. (e.g. Dinner on arrival only).
