Prior to arrival of the guest, you can create an account for every reservation number: a dedicated reservation account. This account is required for deposits or services rendered prior to check-in.
To avoid having a large amount of obsolete accounts within SIHOT, the reservation account has to be created especially via the context menu if and when required. However, a reservation account is created automatically upon entering deposit requirements.
The account is created by highlighting the respective reservation in the list box and selecting reservation account from the context menu. You can then work with the reservation account (e.g. post charges or payments) in the accounts-dialog or in the check-out-dialog.

When the first person of the reservation is checked-in, all postings of the reservation account are transferred to the guest account and the reservation account becomes inactive automatically. SIHOT uses the payment instructions-field of the reservation to determine which guest account will receive the postings from the reservation account:
Payment instructions |
Action |
Own account |
Transfer to the guest account of the first room. |
Group account |
Transfer to the group account. |
Client |
Transfer to the client account of the first room. |
When cancelling a reservation for which there is a reservation account with postings, you must cancel the bookings or proceed as agreed with the guest. Settle and inactivate the account.
