This dialog manages the individual person types. In addition, you can enter the position of the children’s categories (2, 4 and 6) in the rate tables. The rate tables can handle a total of seven different person types.
The numbering of the guest types follows a standard sequence:
Number |
Description |
1 |
adult |
2 |
child |
3 |
adult (misc) |
4 |
child (misc) |
5 |
adult (complimentary) |
6 |
child (complimentary) |
7 |
adult (misc. and complimentary) |
A letter or number following above numbers can be used to differentiate the individual types as required.
è EXAMPLE:
1A |
Adult |
2A |
Infant 0-2 yrs |
2B |
Child 3-12 yrs |
… |
|
Guest types which are no longer actively used at the hotel should be “locked” rather than deleted, in order to retain accurate statistics. The lock-flag is assigned via the guest profile: open the context menu on the guest type-field and select the command edit combobox. Call-up the guest type to be locked, open the context menu and select password. Enter the superuser password. You can now change the field lock to yes. This combobox entry now appears in blue writing and cannot be assigned to a profile anymore. In the person type-dialog, L appears in the locked-field.

The field guest type assignment can change the standard SIHOT configuration of guest types if required.
è EXAMPLE: Normally, 2A denotes a child. If 2A is given the assignment adult, than this guest type is no longer considered a child.
This is especially important for room-rate-packages with a guest-type-related component list.
The following assignments are available:
• Adult
• Child
• Military
• Senior citizen
• Adult complimentary
• Child complimentary
• Military complimentary
• Senior citizen complimentary
If this field is left blank, the guest types are calculated as normal.
