The following fields must be completed in the package master file:
•Commission:
In this field, you define if commission generally does apply to this package and specify the method of calculation.
• commission not possible:
The package is non-commissionable.
• commission aplies to package:
The commission is calculated on the total price of the package.
• commission applies to components:
The commission is calculated separately for each element on the component list (see).
•Commission grouping:
If commission is granted to the entire package, the grouping here must correspond with the group in the guest profile of the reservation.
If commission is granted on individual components on the component list only, then the grouping of the individual services determines the commission.
Without a grouping-definition in either package or component list services, the commission cannot be calculated.
•Maximum commission:
If commission is granted to the entire package, enter the highest possible commission. Should the client or rate holder be entitled to a higher commission then the maximum defined here, a query will be displayed accordingly.
The commission is always calculated using the current definitions in the package master file. I.e. if the maximum percentage at the time of the booking was 15%, but at time of posting it has been changed to 20%, then SIHOT will calculate 20% commission.
