If SIHOT is interfaced to a key card system, a dialog to generate key cards will automatically pop-up for each occupant holding his/her own guest account. This dialog enables you to define certain parameters regarding the key cards, such as access areas, number of keys, etc..
In case of a room move after check-in, SIHOT transfers important data such as departure dates, etc.
The dialog contains the default values as per the reservation and would normally not require any changes.
Default values can be configured with the following registry keys:
• Use registry key [29840] to enter the amount of cards to be coded per category, e.g. SG=1;DB=2; etc. You can also the same number of keys for all categories by entering a “*”, e.g. *=2.
• Use registry key [29846] to set the default number of keys to be coded according to the number of guests in the room (guests with the same guest type as the account holder). This overrides registry key [29840].
• Activate registry key [29844] to call up the key card system-dialog for guests on the rooming list even if they do not have a guest profile.
Depending on the kind of key card used, insert a key card into the card reader in order to transfer the respective data from SIHOT to the key card.

To generate keys without a check-in, see Key Card Dialog.
i NB: Read and understand the supplier’s instructions regarding activation times of the keys.
Certain rooms may not require a key to be issued upon arrival, e.g. the second entry to a suite. To suppress the dialog upon check-in of these rooms, tick the flag do not create a key in the room master file.
