One of the most important aspects in HQ-solutions is the synchronisation of data between the individual clients and the head quarter. This function is usually adapted to a large extend to suit the requirements of the particular business environment.
The HQ-Sync does not only transmit the specified fields but also trails and statistical data. Using this data, the HQ is able to analyse stays and revenues of a guest at the different properties.
Depending on the business logic, data can be synchronised:
•upstream (hotel à HQ)
e.g. hotel statistics, production figures, forecasts, packages, availablity and master files
•downstream (HQ à hotel)
e.g. market segments, rate segments, VIP codes
•cross stream (hotel ó HQ)
e.g. services, packages, reservations, allotments
Offline, the data synchronises at set times. Online systems synchronise the data in real time.
