Flatrate

If you enter yes in the column package, you are actually defining a so called flatrate. It means the basic rate is to be charged in full (= flatrate), regardless of the guest’s actual length of stay.

Internally, SIHOT divides the rate by the number of nights and, on the first night of the guest’s stay, posts this amount for the following n-days. This is done regardless of the guests planned length of stay with the intention of evenly distributing the revenue of this flat rate.

The guest’s invoice, however, will show the flat rate as one posting on the first night.

è EXAMPLE: The flatrate of € 500.00 includes five nights’ accommodation.
Ms Green is staying for three nights. During the night audit of the first night after check-in, SIHOT automatically posts the entire flat rate of € 500.00 to her account, splitting the amount so that the revenue is equally distributed over a period of five nights (= n-days).
The account statements and her final bill on the day of her check-out will show only a one-time accommodation charge.
Ms Green is charged a total of € 500.00 for her three-night-stay.
