Category Management

Category

Short name of the category, a combination of two to four characters. Enter the full name in the second field. The ellipsis-button  opens the dialog text translation, which allows you to enter the description in different languages.

Room type

Define if the category is a room, bed or a suite.

Main category

This field can be only edited when establishing a new sub-category.

Sorting

Enter the position of the category in the category rack. 2 means that the category will be displayed in second place. When using more than 10 categories, enter double-digit numbers, e.g. 02.

Grouping

This flag is used combine several categories for the report category occupancy (cumulated), e.g. Hotel or Apartment. It can also be used in the filter of the category rack.

Statistics

Enter if the category is to be included in the statistics.

Hide data

If yes, the category is disabled, however, SIHOT will still be able to provide statistics.

Rate table

Enter the position of the category in the rate tables.

Pax std/min/ max/extra

Define the number of persons that can be accommodated in the category.

Overbooking

Enter the overbooking percentage allowed for the category. If you also enter a particular user or a user group, other users will not be able to enter overbookings. If the field is left blank, all users will be able to overbook.

Central category

At properties with a MPE solution, the category for Central Reservations is entered.

Category for

suites/number

Enter to which category the rooms making up a suite belong. E.g. a suite may be a combination of a single and a double room.
