In order to conduct effective and fast searches (e. g. reservation search), entries should be made in a number of fields, thus limiting the number of search results. The more fields you are entering, the faster SIHOT will come up with the findings.
When searching for names, it may be useful to search within certain limits. For example, Ma:Mo will find all names starting with “Ma” up to “Mo”.
There are also different possibilities to cut down on searches with numbers:
• 100:123 will find all rooms between 100 and 123.
• 100,115,130,210 will find exactly these four rooms.
• 100:103, 105:108, 110 is a combination of above searches.
