Configuration

SIHOT provides the possibility of changing the layout of the list boxes. This is usually done by the System Administrator and requires respecitve user rights. The configuration of a list box is the same for all users.

 

Call up the context menu on the list box heading to

    hide the respective column by choosing the Hide column-command

    display a column previously hidden

    define a search column

    open a dialog with further options by choosing the Command configure list box.

 

Use the command configure list box in the context menu or click on the the symbol  next to the list box to call up the dialog configure list box to change the following characteristics:

Order of columns

Move the column to the designated position by drag & drop.

Column width

Double click on the column Width in order to change the width manually.

Hide/display a column

Double click on the symbol   in order to ensure a column is displayed or hidden within a list box.

Column editable/ non-editable

Double click on the column Editable to enable/disable users to enter data in a column. The different different symbols are used as follows:

 - the column can be edited

 - the column can not be edited at all; the contents are entered by SIHOT automatically (e.g. comments)

 - the column can not be edited as per hotel policy. If required, a double click on this symbol opens the column for editing.

Search area

One column may be defined as “search column”. This column will determine the sorting order. E. g. a list box will be sorted in alphabetical order, if the column Name is defined as search column. Search column headings are coloured blue.
