This example shows how SIHOT calculates the availability of a rate with the following characteristics:
•The package “F01” includes a breakfast at the price of 10.00 on the component list.
•The package rate for the single room category “EZ” is € 155.00.
The calculation of the net accommodation share in category EZ is as follows:

Consequently, rate F01 will be available if the hurdle base in the decision file is < €123.53.
Based on changes in the availability, the hurdle will be changing as well. If the opportunity costs rise up to e.g. € 130.43, the rate F01 will be no longer available to category EZ.
