The allotment status determines the way allotments and group blocks are processed:
•Guaranteed
The number of definite rooms is calculated by deducting the wash factor from the scope .
•Optional
The entire scope will be considered tentative in forecasts, etc.
•Cancelled
The rooms are released back into availability.
Another function of the status is in connection with event reservations (SIHOT.C&B): when linking a group block to an event reservation, the status of these two can now be synchronized automatically. For example, when cancelling an event reservation, the group block linked to it will be cancelled automatically. Likewise, when changing the status of a group block to definite, the corresponding status will be applied to the event reservation.
In order to set-up the status function for allotments and group blocks, define the type of processing and - if required - the corresponding event reservation types in the new dialog allotment status master file (menu Master Files - Configuration).
