You can give the account(s) assigned special characteristics, making the account available for the following types of postings:
• POS
for the restaurant or banqueting POS to be able to post charges directly to the event number
• Telephone
for the PABX to route charges to the account automatically
• Services
for services that are flagged A - Automatically in the field Posting to be charged to this account when running the program Event report - post services. This program can also run as a batch during the night audit.
These characteristics can be assigned and removed via context menu on the account itself in the tree and they are displayed alongside the account in the event tree.
The characteristic to post charges via POS can be assigned to more than one account. However, this only recommended using SIHOT’s onw RMS protocol. This interface sends all accounts with this characteristic to the POS, where the user can then choose the respective account to be charged. In case of other interfaces, it is recommended to give this characteristic to one account only to avoid incorrect postings.
Figure 56: Account with special characteristics
As the interface to the PABX can not process multiple accounts linked to one event, the phone-characteristic can only be assigned to one of the accounts linked to the event.
