On the category rack, you can block a room category from being sold during a certain period. Reservations for this category.
A stop-sell affects the general availability only. Existing allotments are not affected.
NOTE:
The function is only available to
users with the user right S in category management.
To enter a stop-sell, proceed as follows:
Ø Highlight the respective period during the stop-sell period.
Ø Click Stop-sell in the function pane.
SIHOT opens the dialog box Stop-sell.
Ø To enter a complete stop-sell for the category, leave the percentage at 100% and click Set.
Ø To enter only a partial stop-sell, enter the respective percentage and click Set.
For example, a partial stop-sell of 25% would have the following impact:

The background of the category and period with a 100% stop-sell is highlighted; however, a stop-sell with a lesser percentage does not change the colour of the category rack.
TIP:
If the stop-sell is based on a
percentage, add the line Vacant
to stop-sell in the category rack (filter setting, Scope-section). This
shows you how many rooms can still be sold before the stop-sell prohibits
further reservations.
Also, by adding the line Stop-sell, you can see the exact
percentage defined for each day of the stop-sell in the respective
category.

Ø To change a stop-sell, highlight the respective period during the stop-sell period and click Stop-sell in the function pane. You can now amend the stop-sell percentage in the dialog box Stop-sell.
Ø To remove a stop-sell, highlight the respective period during the stop-sell period and click Remove stop-sell in the function pane.
In the rate information, the sales-stop is marked with a
Stop-icon 
.
