The sale of vouchers via internet works with an INTR interface, such as SIHOT.WEB.
An UUID is generated during the online sale and sent to the voucher’s buyer. The format can vary according to the hotel’s individual configuration, however, the normal format consists of 4 x 4 characters (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx).
The UUID is entered by the guest during the online reservation process. The voucher is then linked to the reservation and the voucher’s status in SIHOT.PMS changes to blocked. Also, the reservation number and the reserved hotel are shown in the tab Gift voucher in the guest profile as well as in the layout Gift voucher. The UUID is displayed in the column External reference.
If the reservation is cancelled, the voucher is no longer linked to it and the status of the voucher changes to valid.
During the check-in, a query will be displayed to confirm that the voucher should be redeemed. If yes, the vouchers amount will be credited to the account. If required, multiple vouchers can be redeemed with one reservation.
