Registry-settings

The following registry keys under the heading [14748] must be configured in order to use the automatic deletion of duplicates:

    Guest fields by which identical guests are identified during the automatic merge [7461]:

These fields determine which profiles are duplicates.

You can enter different fields for the first and for the second merge run.

    Guest fields to be transferred to the target guest profile during the automatic merge [7462]:

If the fields defined here are blank in the target guest profile, then the entries of the records that are about to be deleted will be taken over. If the fields already have an entry in the target guest profile, a comment will be added advising the user that there was a different entry in the deleted profile.

You can enter different fields for the first and for the second merge run.

    Guest fields that must be completed in order to complete a merge-process [815019] and

Guest fields that must be completed in order to complete a merge-process [903265]:

To improve the accuracy of merged profiles, you can use these keys to ensure that only those profiles are merged, that contain a minimum of comparable information.

If registry key is [903265] configured, then [815019] applies to natural persons only. If [903265] is not configured, then [815019] applies to both, natural persons and legal entities.

    Guest fields by which identical legal entities are identified during the automatic merge [903203]:

These fields determine which company profiles (incl. tour operator, travel agents, etc.) are duplicates.

You can enter different fields for the first and for the second merge run.

    Do not merge profiles with first arrival in the future [401047]:

This setting ensures that guests whose first arrival is in the future are not being merged. As their details may not be complete yet, they may otherwise be merged with already existing guests.

    Merge-rule [2704]:

You can opt to keep either the newest or the older record. Generally, one can assume that the recent data is the more up-to-data.

    Search with soundex-algorithm [2704]:

Enable if you want to search names with similar spellings as well as for similar sounding names.
