Refund

There are two options of returning the deposit to the guest:

1.    Deposit: return:

The original payment will be kept as a credit to the guest’s account. The deposit service is contra-posted and moved to the settlement account.

2.    Deposit: return and refund:

This option is used for an immediate cash return of the deposit. The deposit service is contra-posted and both postings are moved to the settlement account.

Whenever the guest account is opened, the dialog for recording returns/losses pops up beforehand, listing the items currently lent out to the guest.

Ø If there is no return at the time, click Close.

Ø If the guest returns all of the borrowed items, click Deposit: return or Deposit: return and refund.

Ø If the guest returns just some of the borrowed items - but not all of them - click Close and highlight the returned item in the account listbox. Click Deposit: return or Deposit: return and refund in the function pane
