The Guest identification-function was developed in particular for resort hotels working with all-inclusive packages. The function enables the hotel staff to easily administer, track and control different types of guest identifications. Different guest ID types can be used to specify the guest’s entitlements, such as which meals or drinks they have included, which areas they are allowed to enter, etc.
Most hotels issue bracelets to their guests upon arrival, which are to be worn throughout the stay and which indicate to the staff the services the guest is entitled to. However, the guest ID function can be applied just as well when using photo ID cards or similar tools.
The guest identification always relates to the reservation and not to the guest’s profile, as the guest may book different arrangements with each stay.
