The column Fix contains a default, taken from the service’s master file in the field Fixed rate:
• Yes (=the rate „fix“):
When posting the package, this service is being allocated its full price as per the service master file. If the package rate is less than the sum of all fix services, then all fix services will be reduced in proportion.
• No (=the rate is “not fix”):
When posting the package, this service will only be allocated what’s left of the room rate after deducting all fix components. The revenue of this component, therefore, can vary depending on the other components and is, therefore, automatically listed here with a zero-rate. Usually, this component in a package is the accommodation.
For example: The rate of a package is € 122.00. After deducting the fix components, i.e. breakfast at € 10.00 and parking at € 12.00, the remaining revenue of € 100.00 is allocated to accommodation.

It is also possible to enter two or more non-fix components in the component list, each receiving a certain percentage of the variable amount. This can be required, for example, in all-inclusive resorts in order split the revenue percentagewise between Rooms and F&B, after deducting fixed costs (such as excursions, etc.).
In this case, the variable components’ master files must have the flag No in the field Fixed rate. In the component list, the component must be entered with either Percent of daily rate or Percent of total rate in the column Fix. The actual percentage is of these components is entered in the Rate-column.
For example: After deducting the other fix components, the remaining revenue is split between accommodation (55%) and F&B (45%).
The following points must be noted:
• The percentages must add up to 100 exactly.
• Components that are not fix can only be defined on the general component list. Otherwise, if entered on component lists for different guest types, the total percentage may not equal 100%, depending on the number of persons in the room.
• The component list must contain either “normal” or percentages of non-fix components. A combination of both is not possible.
