next to the Packages-listbox. The function Discount per day handles promotions such as “Stay 3 nights – pay 2” by spreading the discounted rate over the entire period of stay, so that each night will, in fact, produce a revenue in accommodation.
In order to be able to apply this discount, the following is required:
•The reservation’s rate is not frozen.
•The package’s or service’s master file allows manual rates.
To enter the discount, proceed as follows:
Ø Click on Discount per day next to the Packages-listbox.
SIHOT opens the dialog box to enter the promotion.
Ø Enter the number of nights that are not free of charge.
Ø Click Calculate.
SIHOT calculates the rate to be charged per night taking into consideration the free night(s). If there is a Remaining amount that cannot be split, such as 1 Cent, then this is deducted on the first night.
Ø Click Apply to take over the discounted rate.
Ø Click Modify in the reservation’s function pane to save the changes.
