The settings in the expander Room data determine the housekeeping status of a room. They ensures that Reception does not check a guest into a dirty room and they also define cleaning statuses that are automatically set by SIHOT.
SIHOT offers the following housekeeping statuses:
• 01 = dirty:
The room is not clean.
• 02 = in process:
The room is being cleaned at the moment.
• 03 = inspection:
The room was cleaned, but still has to be checked.
• 04 = room OK:
The room is clean, checked and ready to be occupied.
• 05 = additional work:
The room requires further attention by Housekeeping and is not yet ready to be occupied.
• 06 = arrival dirty:
The room is occupied by a new guest.
To be able to carry out a check-in, rooms should have the status entered field Status check-in. If a room has a different status when checking in, a SIHOT will display a warning.
The field Status dirty by arrival is automatically given to rooms after check-in. This is for housekeeping to be able to differentiate between rooms that were not cleaned on the day and rooms that were cleaned and are already occupied again.
If the hotel does not distinguish between rooms that are clean and those still to be inspected, select the same status in the fields Status check-in and Status clean.
The field All is used in the program Set room status during the night audit. If the field is set to Yes, all rooms that were cleaned during the day (status Room OK) and that are not occupied, are re-assigned the status defined in field Status clean. This way, instead of showing all clean rooms the next morning, the housekeeping department will have to re-check those rooms the next day, before giving them the status Room OK once more. This function is only used if the hotel does use the Inspection-status to distinguish between rooms that were cleaned (field Status clean) and rooms that are ready to be let (field Status check-in). If the field All is set to No, only rooms that are occupied will be changed to status Dirty.
Use the field Housekeeping status after check-out to automatically change the status of a room after the guest’s departure.
