Avoiding duplicate guest profiles

To avoid creating duplicate guest profiles, the reservation import includes a check for existing profiles. This check can be refined by ticking a number of parameters under registry key [7053].

If, for example, the guests’ email address is to be checked explicitly to find duplicate profiles, tick the parameter Email for comparison. However, if your hotel often receives company bookings with a general email address such as info@companyname.com, do not tick this parameter.

When ticking the parameter Guest data, the following data will be included in the check:

    Company profiles:

Name1 and the postal code (ZIP) are identical.

The street name is similar.

The existing profile is not flagged for deletion.

    Natural persons:

Name1, Name2 and the postal code (ZIP) are identical.

The street name is similar.

The existing profile is not flagged for deletion.
